Recovery after SILK procedure

Ensure recovery with the right steps
SILK offers next-day recovery of vision,2 so most patients can resume most normal activities the following day. However, the following tips can be handy in avoiding complications and aiding long-term recovery:

Only use eye drops prescribed by your doctor (if any)

Go home, rest and sleep directly after the procedure to start the recovery process

Avoid wearing eye makeup for 2–3 days after the procedure

Avoid swimming or contact sports for a few days after the procedure

Avoid splashing water into your eyes for a few days after the procedure

 

 

Wear protective sunglasses when outdoors up to 1 month after surgery

Maintain good eye hygiene to avoid infections

 

 

 

Visit your eye doctor for scheduled post-operative check-ups
