Smooth Incision Lenticular Keratomileusis (SILK™) is a laser eye surgery treatment that offers vision correction for people with myopia with and without astigmatism.*

How SILK™ works
SILK™ is a technologically advanced¹, minimally invasive surgical vision correction procedure that may allow people to see the world more freely from glasses or contact lenses.
1: Create
The ELITA™ laser uses the finest of laser pulses to gently create a small disc-shaped lens, called a lenticule, in the cornea after the eye is numbed.
2: Remove
The lenticule is delicately removed through a microscopic incision.
3: Reshape
The lenticule removal reshapes the cornea, correcting vision so distant objects can be seen more clearly.1

Is SILK™ a suitable procedure if I have astigmatism?
SILK is intended to correct astigmatism up to -6.00 Diopters.3 Dioptres measure how strong the glasses or contact lenses need to be to correct the person’s vision.
