Caroline Blackie Appointed Vice President of Medical Affairs, Vision

JACKSONVILLE, FL (August 18, 2025) – Vision at Johnson & Johnson^† has appointed Caroline Blackie as Vice President of Medical Affairs. Caroline has been at the Company for eight years and previously served as Senior Medical Director and Interim Head of Medical Affairs.

Caroline brings substantial experience in direct patient care and scientific research, with a robust track record of leadership in clinical and medical affairs in the vision industry. Her expertise across vision care and surgical platforms will help guide solutions for the highest unmet medical needs.

Prior to joining industry full time, Caroline dedicated nearly two decades of her career to direct patient care in the U.S. and Africa. She has also authored over 60 peer reviewed manuscripts, over 100 scientific meeting abstracts and presentations, and is an author on 10 US patents. She holds an MS in Health Informatics and Analytics from Tufts Medical School, an OD from the University of California, Berkeley, and a PhD in Neurobiology and Behavior from Cornell University.
